Ian Pont

Ian Pont is a cricketer (a fast bowler who played for Essex) and a musician who has found success in both fields.

Ian is the lead singer for the tribute band Spandau Too. The band, which was formed in 2006, pays homage to the popular 80s band Spandau Ballet and has been endorsed by Spandau Ballet themselves: 'Sounds exactly like Tony!', says Gary Kemp, Founder Spandau Ballet. Spandau Too perform at various venues, gigs and festivals across the UK.

Ian's passion for music doesn't stop with Spandau Too. His solo career is also flourishing. That powerful voice that enables him to evoke Tony Hadley, is showcased in his solo work. 'Dying Like Tomorrow' – his debut release with Uniq Recording Artists - is a fabulously sweeping James Bond inspired track. And his expanding catalogue spans genres with ballads, dance tracks and anthems all showcasing Ian's remarkable vocal ability.

In addition to his music career, Ian is a respected cricket coach and commentator. He has worked with various teams around the world, including the Netherlands, Papua New Guinea, and the West Indies. He is also a regular commentator on Sky Sports and has written several books on cricket coaching and technique.
